well...I guess I got used to the previous layout...I can get used to this one. The only thing I might want to question are all the ads for other items. But, as the saying goes..."TANSTAAFL!"* Someone has to pay the bills around here. Now, off to learn to site map...if I can find one, that is...

I find that by dropping my screen resolution (640x480) the thumbnails adequate for general viewing. The system is running reasonably quickly if you just go for the categories.

Yep. Noticed after clicking on a thumbnail the pic's take longer to load than before.
I always look at what the sites's developers did, *not* the webmaster or mods!!

They are the ones responsible for writing bloated codes, that hamper the download process. imo

Nice clean look though, and I like that the gallery is 'cleaner'. No, not the pic's (lol)

I really like the new look! The colours give the site a kind of retro/vintage feel to it..rather nice!!

we are looking at the slower loading times ---but remember guys when you do a search there are over 68,000 pics on the site for the software to search thru ---

the avatars for all the categories are taken from within the category - they are usually the best - that's why we pick them. enjoy yourself browsing the category for them.

Yes, nice look for the site; but very poor performance. Since the upgrade, slow downloads often cause my browser to time out.

Due respect, I don't buy the arguement that searching through 68,000 images is causing the lag.. we had most of those images before the new browser code was installed, with no DLL lag.

Bloated code, indeed!

I agree with blademan, I don't think it's the "searching through 68,000 images" thing. I usually go to the Whats New tab to see, well, whats new. When I click on a pic it takes almost ten minutes to load.

Having said that, I like the new look but the slow load time needs to be addressed.

Gentlemen, we know the reason that the site is running at a reduced rate...the site's server is shared.
