Peggy McGinn says the 56-year-old Chambers was found by her 17-year-old daughter Sunday night and the cause of death has not been determined.

Chambers starred in the 1972 film "Behind the Green Door," which was more widely distributed and attracted a more mainstream audience than the usual adult fare.

Chambers, whose given name was Marilyn Briggs, was once a model for Ivory Snow. She was among the first porn superstars when the stag films of the 1940s through 1960s gave way to the more polished sex films of the 1970s.

I always thought she was gorgeous, and I always loved her performances. I got to meet her several years ago at an autograph show, and she was really nice to me.



My condolences to her friends and surviving family.

Saw her in 'Leg Show' magazine a couple of years back...nice pictorial...she still looked good!..I'm not particularly into hardcore stuff but always thought she was a 'looker'.

I've tried several other picture viewers, but the only one that mirrors the info, including the 'caption', viewable in IrfanView is FastStone.

OK. Thanks. Per the IrfanView documentation, that information is "stored in the IPTC plug-in", separate from the image (so the image is not altered by scribbling notes in the Comment field, even if you do it multiple times). 'T would be nice to believe it's a standard, but, like me pappy usta say, the great thing about standards is you have so many to choose from.
