Where is everyone from?

I see by the sidebar that many of us are of basically the same age and are reliving the great babes of the past much like some grown men begin collecting baseball cards again.
From some of the phrases in the replys I think many of you are from Europe. If you would care to, post where you are from, just to get a sense of the workings of our wonderful community where like minded folks can come together to worship those beautiful pics of yesteryear!

I am from just out side New York City, in Northern New Jersey, USA. I am 51 and married to a wonderful woman who has many of the physical qualities that I admire. I also have two daughters. I run my own business dealing in reproduction military uniforms and accoutrements from the mid 19th century, particularly from the American Civil War period for museums and historical reenactors and some films as well.
One of my first magazines I picked up was in the late 60's when I worked as a stock boy at a drug store. I spied a magazine (cannot recall the name) which featured a picture of Dean Ackerlund on the cover. I promptly smuggled one out and have never looked back!

I agree with you. Use the option under User CP and fill in your location (goes for all of you). The problem with the internet is, that you are communicating with people, but you do not know if it is your neighbour or someone from another planet. In a way facinating, and yet so unpersonal.

Born in Copenhagen, DK in 1961 I missed the 70's by 10 yrs. I lived through the period, but I took not part in it, as I was busy growing up, educating etc. But I soon realised that these old mags had some appeal to me - perhaps 'cause of its 'forbidden fruit' kind-of-stuff; it was not legal before 1968 here in DK - as far as I know. What happened then is another story.

Legal status: Not married, but I have a girlfriend. We do not see each other so often, as we live appx. 200 miles apart - allthough we have known each other for 30 yrs. And I do mean known. First within the last year we became steady. She is a bit older than me, but she is a lovely & sexy woman, so I do not mind the distance for now. But I have plans to move to her town a.s.a.p. when my finances gets better.

For the moment unemployed, but would like to work as a desktopper (very hard to get in because of great unemployment in this line of business). I am using a pc, but can work in both pc and mac (the graphic line of business mainly uses mac - that is why I can work on a mac). So I am just trying to make the days go by, and hope for the opportunity to find the right job!

Hey Winger, hows it going?I'm from the arctic region of the U.S.,most know it as the Chicago metro area ,NW In. side of the region.Its the part of the U.S. where are winters (&springs) are as cold as our Cubs & White Sox (Bears & Hawks too)!Its allways been said ,even on TV comercials, we have 2 seasons here, 9mo. of winter ,3 mo. of summer no in between.

Sometimes I have the luck to find such a mag in a second hand store, and usually I buy them for appx. $ 2-3. But they are hard to get now-a-days.

My 'new' girlfriend are not busty, but my first one was. And allthough she gave birth to 3 children, they were still firm, and her main assets (apart from being a nice woman, offcourse). Back in those days I really enjoyed the life, as you can imagine. I do not think, we left anything untried! And she still got a piece of my heart.

I am born danish, that is right. But like many danes (and other europeans, I guess) my family tree reveal ancestors of foreign nationality. One of my great grand fathers was swedish, and I suppose that his wife was of german origin (her maiden name was Wagner). That was my mothers side. On my fathers side the family name came from Austria, and I have heard rumors that there should be some french blood too, but whether it is true or not I do not know.

The difference between Europe & USA (& most other 'new' countries) is, that in your part of the world, where there has been a lot of imigration, you are aware of your original nationality, which most Europeans are not. I think that within a couple of generations the origin of the ancestors gets into the dark and is forgotten.

My girlfriend has spanish blood running in her veins, and a former girlfriend comes from Norway and has danish & german blood running in her veins. So we are born with one nationality, but the history shows we have many nationalities!!!

Thanx for the"hello" ,"jng" & greetings again!Yes most of us in the States are of numerous combinations of ancestral herritage ,like you said ,because of the masses who came from mostly European countries.I guess I am an anomaly ,being only of Serbian herritage on both sides of my parentage.I know in the U.S. there is little ethnic prejudice ,& I'm proof of that ,of course because I'm dating a part Croatian girl.The Serbs & Croats allways did not get along in the old country,but this is America & we all are of one,so we put all our difference behind us & moved on like all peoples of the world should!

I ,too ,have had lady friends of many heritages,from Itallian,to Swede,& they all were beautiful women.I'm attracted to women of any European extraction,but fault no one elses tastes for any other race or ethnicity. I am not so sure about breaking cover, but on the "basis of no names, no packdrill" here's part of my story.

For over thirty years I had a laddish love affair with beer and wine, and my loves & friendships grew out of this. Happily for the past two years I have been teetotal.

By not drinking alcohol for an extended period there have been benefits to my health and emotional stability (I mean...drink a gallon of depressant most days and you feel...er... depressed).

During my earlier attempts to understand why I drank alcohol, and before I had the inevitable breakdown that finally provided the incentive to turn my life around, my counsellors had a note on the wall:

"I have needs.
I am entitled to meet my needs.
I drink to help me meet my needs."

In the context of those three lines I developed an interest in art which has given me the opportunity to see how others view the world and life, and to marvel at their ingenuity, sophistication and strongly wicked sense of humour. Portraits of elegant ladies by the American John Singer Sargent or the Brit Sir Thomas Lawrence can turn a man's knees to quicksilver. The cubist painting of a nude woman walking downstairs by Marcel Duchamps is clever, witty and well worthy of a google image search. So the third line could read:

"I view art to help me meet my needs."

As to why I'm here, getting my kicks on the gentler, inexplicit but yet highly tittilating parts of this website, change the third line yet again to read:

"I view photographs of very pretty ladies in all of their natural loveliness to help me meet my needs."

That probably sums us all up.

Well, it is not that difficult to get a divorce in DK either - but I prefer to be a single person. I love my girlfriend, but I would not give up my own home, and live together with her. We got a lot of things in common and are able to work it out together, but sometimes I need to be alone, and I can only do that in my own flat.

The former Yugoslavia is a real hotspot here in Europe - it has always been & perhaps always will be. I have been told stories about the daily life in this area from two friends - a Bosnian Serb and a Croat, and some of the things they told me are not bedtime stories.

But in general I have friends of many nationalities - Norwegian, Swedish, English, Irish and so on. I guess it comes from the time, when I worked for D&B, where I basicly had collegues all over the world. From Hong Kong to Chile, Zimbabwe to Norway, and the funny thing was, that we had never met, but we spoke like we had known each other for years.

I have thought about quitting the nicotine - but I get agressive when I try. The last line is just an abbreviation of an old danish joke, which goes like this (can be difficult to translate humor from one language to another).

Two old men are sitting on a bench, and the first one says to the other: "I still whistle everytime I see a beautiful girl. The other one says: So do I, but I cannot remember why.

But the fact is, that I do not whistle. I just admire them. Enjoy the sight, or whatever you want to call it. And in the summer. Wauw. Not the winter. We do not have so much snow - in fact most of the winters here are without snow, but it is always windy, so even if the temperature is over 0º C. it will feel like its -10º C. So everybody is dressed for the cold weather, but in the summer it is another story - warm weather, women wearing light clothes. You just want to sit outdoors on a park bench enjoying the sun, a soft drink and all the beautiful women. And if you should whistle every time.....

For the moment things are stable, but there has been incidents where the discutions have been going high about the migrations. About five yrs ago a woman was rapped by five or six young men of foreign nationality. In the summer of 2003 a young italian tourist was stabbed to death by two tyrkish cousins only an hour after he arrived to Denmark. Both incidents caused a lot of attention in the media and amongst the politicians.

You know - it takes only one rotten aple to spoil all the other aples. Everytime something happens involving people of foreign nationality people tends to forget, that there are at least ten of the same nationality, who lives an ordinary live without crime of any kind. So its tends to be us against them - and one day it might evolve into riots of some kind.

But the spring is just around the corner, and then comes the summer, and with the summer comes all the light dressed women, and then I wil be sitting on a park bench...............

Guess you're right about the age :-) I'm 51, divorced, have a marvelous girlfriend who's from Cuba originaly, but have lived in Norway for more than 30 years. We live on an old farm in the woods outside Oslo with my two teenage daughters and two huge dogs (mix between Newfoundlenders and Great Danes, bitches and the two first born in their litter).

I collect almost any retro/vintage stuff. Old magazines (not only girlie mags, but famely magazines, womens magazines, technical magazines news magazines etc), coctail chakers, fountain pens, traveling stuff like old suitcases and trunks, traveling printed matters etc, old metal and glass signs, old tins, and last but not least old 4wheel driven cars ( I got 9 :-) )

I’m from Glasgow in Scotland.
In my 40’s, with the usual Scottish obsessions; football (or Soccer, if you are American), strong drink and the fair sex.
My roots are Irish, with one set of grandparents from Southern Ireland (although it was part of Britain while they lived there and the other set came from Belfast (Shankill Road! The heart of darkness!) in Northern Ireland.
As a result, my Roman Catholic mother and Church of Scotland father managed to totally infuriate their parents for marrying “the enemy” and all of those good god faring folk treated the offspring of the marriage as the spawn of Satan!
My maternal Grandfather lived until he was 94, he had to flee, aged 16 “to the mainland” from South-West Ireland (apparently the Black and Tan’s were looking for him) yet, despite living in Scotland for 78 years he never missed an opportunity to curse the “dirty British b*****ds”!
This still goes on here! I attended a wedding a few years ago where the brides father refused to attend because his daughter was marrying a catholic!!
That is why, when you arrive at a Scottish or Irish airport, the Pilot, during his pre-landing announcements will tell you to put your watch back 300 years!
I found Myarchives during one of my many searches for anything relating to Candy Samples, for whom, I am perfectly happy to admit, I have a complete weakness!
I fist saw her in a photo spread in a UK soft core magazine back in the 1980’s a pal showed me the magazine and I can still remember the impact she made on me as a 20 year old.
Unfortunately, the UK law at that time was very strict and anything that Candy featured in would have rendered anyone who sold it liable to prosecution.
Things changed only a few years back but she had retired by then and her stuff is therefore practically unobtainable here.
So I could hardly believe my luck when I found this site.
I am very, very grateful to the community (you know who you are) who share their images and movies of the divine Ms Samples.

I now know what the expression " The Good Old Days " actually means. Thanks for all the pics on Uschi. It does feel like you can go back in time, at least for a few minutes. I'm from Inverness, more commonly know as "The Capital Of The Highlands" in northern Scotland. I was in farming all my life until arthritis and an accident forced me in to early retirement. Now I fish:smile:, take nature photographs:cool:, write articles on the natural history of Scotland:rolleyes:, fish:smile:, make copious amounts of homemade wine:wink:, fish:smile: and drink copious amounts of homemade wine:cool:. When I'm sober I go out and fish!:smile:

In my spare time, and after I've checked-out and posted to "My Archives" I sometimes get away to the fishing!:smile:

I was brought up (not literally) with June Palmer:tongue:, Paula Page:tongue:, Ann Austin:tongue:, and the Spick and Span mags. In the late 70s Jane Warner:tongue::tongue::tongue: came in to my life! At least she came in to my 2-Dimentional life!:frown: Jane, as you might appreciate, is alive and well, and still modelling.:tongue: Oh, but for more time, more money and less distance. Unfortunately Jane lives on the south coast of the UK, and I live almost on the north coast.:mad: She is 15 years younger than me and I will go to meet the Grim Reaper eventually, knowing that there, but for the Grace Of God........:rolleyes::cool::wink:
