Private - Disputed - Unknown - Gallery Folders

One other note ---we know that not all members have access to Pictures to post ----but simply saying thank you to a posted photo counts as a post so it is not hard to get the required 150 posts --

Hi all. I just love this site. As an avid collector and trader of vintage and retro EVERYTHING, MyArchives is my #1 "go-to" site on the 'net.

I would like to know if I could manage a favor, that of getting that password for the 1 Private Folder. I'm trying my damndest to increase my posts in forums and adding pics when I can get the time to reach that magic "150" number. Any chance? I have tons of good old stuff to share with everyone here and I've met some wonderful folks as well.

And, is there a way I can keep track of my posts so I'll have an idea where I stand in the membership rankings?

Glad you like it here vidguy :) I hope you are not asking us to BEND THE RULES? 150 posts is not really that many, as you have 7 posts in the
forums and 20 posts/images in the gallery. It doesn't take much time or effort to reply to an image or post an image in the galleries. No disrespect meant-
but i am amazed at the amount of members here, who do and say nothing!

Your post count here is at the top rhs under the report bad post icon
this is the total - posts for the forums and post count for images would be on your public profile

We have set up some new folders in Pre-1980 Vintage & Retro Categories - Unknown001 - Unknown005. Each of these have pics of one model who has never been satisfactorily identified. If anyone thinks they can id these models please post a reply on any one of their pics. Also if you come across any more pics of any of these models in the galleries please post a reply on that pic to let us know which Unknown folder they belong in.

As well as the new Unknown folders, following a suggestion by Rastaman you will now see a new Disputed folder in Pre-1980 Vintage & Retro Categories. This is intended to hold pics where members have disagreed about the id's of the models. We - the mods -will post the ones which spring to our (failing) minds. Any that members wish to dispute - simply post a reply on that pic and we will pick it up.

Click on your username then public profile, this will have the totals for the site q - as in chengny's case you have to let one of us know when you reach the required 150 posts - it doesn't take long :smile:

I happened to notice that your image count ballooned from a few hundred (that's what it said a few days ago) to what it is now: 864 :eek:

I know that that could be a Herculean task with so many of the models either not identified in the photo shoots or that posed under multiple names.

Yes jhl, that's the way it works - as you can see every post you make here in the forums and gallery is updated under your username, as is your image count.

Gallery posts only have post count - now i'm confused :smile:

Papabear3333 - I think you will find that it is 'posts', not just 'thanks', that count. However, no doubt Kevin will correct me if I am wrong.

... that picture posts counted also. I have 118 posts and 2494 pix posted, so I'm hoping that qualifies. Any chance I could get that secret decoder ring, and get into the private gallery?
