The most wonderful etch-artist of the SF pulp era was surely Virgil Finlay. Is there an interest in scans like this:

I dunno, but I have lots of mags with Virgil Finlay covers. My most prized possession is Startling Mystery Stories No. 6 Fall 1967. That sports a Virgil Finlay cover but I didn't find out until years later that it was also the first published work that Stephen King received money for. I'm hanging onto it so I can get it autographed one day...
