Is there a way to extract videos from DVDs? If so, I have some DVDs of some vintage erotica that I could share.

I use http://www.magicdvdripper.com/
You can use it for a trial period before buying it.

You need a video extractor like DVDx (basicly free, but the site requires a membership - $ 15/€ 15 I think). I got it free from another site linking to this one (if you cannot find it - PM me, and I will help you) Then you need some codec installed. There is a great one called K-Lite Mega Pack, which covers all the todays known codecs. But if you are running an older OS Divx might not be working (then again - PM me, and I will help you).
There are many other ways, which will give a much greater control and quality, but they are more advanced - if you want to learn more about it, try a search on Google for dvd rip for extractors and videohelp for more information on about 'how to'. :)
