Logged in, went to gallery, clicked on image. Holly shit, what hell has happened?
All our beloved images (in MYARCHIVES) have been tampered with! Now we can't just veiw, without being bombarded with adverts for other sites. WHY???
It just seems that no matter where you turn to,there is going to be someone out there trying to sell something to you or stitch you up!
Disapointed to say the least!

REDBACK1954 - these folk pay for the site (or rather our fellow members who use the advertised services pay for the site). For that we are grateful.
Try changing your screen resolution to something lower res. Thats what I did for a while the last time.

RB54...I, for one, am glad that there is adverts here. This shows that our Constitution is working on our behalf. Also, do you realize how many sites out there, with the same type of material, are going to charge you an arm and a leg for what you are getting on the cuff? More than I can count! Remember: There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch ( TANSTAAFL! )...somebody, somewhere, has to pay the piper...

What advertising are you speaking of? The only thing I see is up in the right hand corner --and it is small---do you have adware or spyware on your computer? Take the time to get a good adware remover and spyware remover ----this kind of stuff you pick up at other pay sites ---and they add their self to your computer without your knowledge---and slow down your computer---
you can get a fair adware/spyware remover here free--- http://www.download.com/Bazooka-Adware-and-Spyware-Scanner/3000-8022_4-10377953.html?tag=lst-0-6

Just like winger, 3 on top and 3 bellow the images. Yes, I know that adverts help pay for sites, but it was affecting the image quality.

Dude, get yer OWN stash...this one's OURS!!!
Seriously...the ads don't bother me in the least. All that bothers me at the present are those pix with the words planted right across the middle of them. Really has ruined what were otherwise fantastic pix...know what I mean?

Wow I don't get 'em maybe I'm not seeing what you guys are cause the stuff I did 25 years ago?Got a good anti-spy /adware viral combo, is probably a better reason why.At microsoft they unloaded "Ad-aware" free, & this is approved by microsoft & is very effective.

Like you I have not seen the first ad---either we have kick ass spy/adware programs or we are the only ones not smoking that stuff.
I am thinking it the adware/spyware programs---as I contacted Tiger and he has not put any new sponsors on the site in some time ---and he could not see any ads either---

Friend the firewall software is good but it does not completely remove adware/spyware---if you get a good program to remove this --you will be supprised as I was what norton and macafee really miss---they only target really harmful spyware ---but let the little stuff slid thru ---which after a time will eat your computers cpu until it slows to a crawl---there are many adware/spyware programs out there ---Personally I use Ad-Aware SE ---but there are many free ones out there---one I posted a link to previously in this thread---if you get one and run it you will be shocked--the first time I ran mine I had over 300 adware programs running on my computer --this included cookie trackers----I and run Norton Internet security 2006--with a adware program of its own ---but like I said it only targets harmful ones to your system.

For what it's worth I'm not getting any of these extra ads, but I've got Ad Aware, Spybot, Spywareblaster and I use the Firefox browser. All these are free and can be easily downloaded from the 'net.
