This gorgeous model from (I believe) Denmark appeared in a lot of mens mags beginning in the middle 1950's and continuing through the early 1960's.
She appeared in an early FLING mag. Other full size mags she appeared in include ACE, PINUP and ESCAPADE.
She appeared in such mags as MENS CONQUEST, one of those male "action" magazines.
And she appeared in those small pocket size magazines such as STARE and JEST, with the endless jokes, cartoons and occasional (usually fully clothed) pictures of sexy models.
Pictures of her are hard to come by.
Discovering some new (old) pictures and a possible video would be great!

Hey! Great minds think alike Candyfan
I have a number of mag pics, they do need a lot of work due to the crappy original pages - this stuff is over 50 years old now and the printing sometimes is a little ordinary - also the whiz bang scanner now has a line running through all the big scans that i do - canoscan time!
Here is one not worked on - she's a beauty alright, great figure! http://img210.imagevenue.com/loc62/th_44556_Helle_123_62lo.jpg (http://img210.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=44556_Helle_123_62lo.jpg)

Just a single, but a good face to compare with.

There is something 'less in your face' about the 50s through 60s, compared with the 80s and subsequent decades. Very nice.

Right on matey RE: great minds, especially on this pinup. She was in a lot of those little pocket mags - she'd be in one pic in the entire mag which is better than nothin', but the quality of those pocket mag pix was certainly inferior.
Here's your picture back and, here's the "spam" picture without the spam....
Boy, does she ever exude that good 'ole sexy look!
I think we oughta establish a folder for her in the Gallery? I could put a few in there to start.

Tony,
Good point. Reason she looks familiar is probably because she was often compared to Brigitte Bardot. There is a facial resemblance. Helle, I'd take Helle over the French kitten anytime.
She was Miss Copenhagen, according to one magazine report, probably around the middle to late 50's I'd say.

Thanks for your pic Mush!
Guess you don't know any old geezers living in Denmark who have a stash on Helle, do yuh?
On this particular pic, the breasts look bigger than normal? Wonder if somebody did a little morphing there? Anyway, she looks fine.

Helle is from a bit different period than the contacts I usually have. Although she is still alive I feel, it will be hard to track her down. The problem is that she is from "a society that no longer exists", as I use to say.
The people who has (had) knowledge has either left this world or live their last monets in more or less isolation.
If Hamilton, as you suggest, did all the photos of her he will be the best oportunity to get further knowledge. That is if he kept the contact with her alive.
But you are more than right when you think this model is a beautiful creation, CandyFan.

She is an outstanding pinup model fer sure, a "beautiful creation".
I wasn't necessarily trying to track her down. It always amuses me somewhat when some guy gets involved in trying to track down this and that pinup model from thirty, forty or fifty years ago. Much changes in that time. But in this case, it would be nice to find a cache of pictures of her, instead of the drip, drip, drip method of getting one from a DARE magazine, one somewhere else from an STARE magazine, etc. The fact that she was a Miss Copenhagen doesn't seem to be helping much? And yes, THAT Denmark no longer exists compared to the one you live in today. :frown: Quite different!

I don't know where to start looking right now. That is what I meant. We have some old newspapers etc. I could get access to. But it would take forever. I would have to track down an old friend of mine who is a journalist. He might be able to dig something out.
But do I have the time for this?
(I got several projects going on with model ID's atm. and foolishly just started up the 1970's).
Phew... I don't know, CF

Appreciate the effort Mush - any effort will be appreciated, so thanks for the clarification.
Perhaps this may help. The above post by me RE: "DAVID" Hamilton as the photographer of Helle Wingsoe is INCORRECT. :frown: I've been able to confirm this. He is a famous photog but I'm certain he's never shot Helle Wingsoe.
Rather it is one BILL HAMILTON (not necessarily William?), whose name appears on the side of a page of Helle photos.
Searching for him turns up just about zilch so far? Whoever Bill Hamilton was, one magazine claims that HE WAS a fashion photog whose "biggest discovery to date" was Helle Wingsoe.
So it's reasonable to assume that he may have lived in Europe and/or Denmark during the 1950's - Helle is named Miss Copenhagen somewhere in there, and his pictures of her then start turning up in various magazines beginning somewhere in the mid 50's to the mid or late 60's.

Yes Cf, i wondered on this as the Magazine "Bill Hamilton Photographs World Beauties" Has him as an American who went through Europe in the late 50's and then again in 1963 - Posted all there is of Helle - Two pages :frown:
I'll remove any reference to the other guy.

There are three pages with Helle Wingsų in
ACE Vol 04 No 05 - 1961 February, on Page 42-44.
Do you have this magazine, CF?

Mush,
Yes, thank you, I have all of these pages, found on the web. In fact I did a little animated piece on the page where Helle/Annette is balanced on the big cup with her arms extended. I'll post it, but where/what folder do you suggest I post it to?

A very knowledgeable member who wishes to remain anonymous has kindly pointed out an error with Helle Wingsoe and Annette Casir.
Both appear in "Bill Hamilton Photographs World Beauties" and i quote member X >
Helle Wingsoe and Annette Casir are undeniably two different women but I believe it was Bill Hamilton who may have deliberately linked the two. At least recycled the name.
Helle Wingsoe is Danish - Annette Casir - Norwegian....they are remarkably similar in some respects.
Now according to Member X  the later pics of Annete Casir were attributed to Helle Wingsoe...there are no nude or topless images of Helle Wingsoe on the site they are of Annette Casir.
http://profmendez.tripod.com/assets/images/59wingsoe_63casir.jpg
Wingsoe 1959; Casir as Wingsoe 1963 ( with thanks )
So, we now have the two models in their respective pre 1980 folders.

Interesting what Member X has come up with? I don't doubt the veracity of his insisting that Helle and Annette are two different models.
However, if true, it is beyond remarkable how similar they look, remarkable to the point that it's hard to believe they are not the same person? One can even see a logical progression of age in the pictures, Annette Casir to the supposed later pictures of Helle Wingsoe with the slight changes in hair style but same basic facial features and same basic body?
Not sure I understand what you're saying here Kevin..............
>>>>>>>>>Now according to Member X the later pics of Annete Casir were attributed to Helle Wingsoe...there are no nude or topless images of Helle Wingsoe on the site they are of Annette Casir.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Helle Wingsoe came first, in the 50's, correct? Then came pictures of Annette Casir, say in the 60's, which were incorrectly listed as Helle Wingsoe? This is what you're saying?
Our thanks to Member X for his detective work.

Yes it may seem like that BUT identified as two different models in the same magazine, Helle Wingsoe from Denmark and Annette Casir from Norway and the former name used for the latter in later magizines.

The coincidence for Helle and Anette being two different models is a puzzle.
It has been seen before that a model appears twice in the same magazine under two different names.
I can't use this discussion without proof.
And until this proof arrives I will still list Helle as the model to the right:
http://profmendez.tripod.com/assets/images/59wingsoe_63casir.jpg
The model in the Black & White photo does not look like the model on the right to me. She is more 'teddy-bear' like.
Helle Wingsų has much more grace. Her eyes have some very fine contours - even though more sleepy.
The model on the right is the same model as the pages I posted from 'ACE Vol 04 No 05 - 1961 February'.
End of story

Thank you Kevin for the confirm.
One piece of this puzzle that might fit is the following: Helle Wingsoe was said to be a "Miss Copenhagen" from somewhere in the '50's. If so, it's possible that she would never pose completely nude, as you point out, due to her nice girl-Miss Copenhagen image?
Annette Casir, from Norway, seems to normally be posed with breasts showing, if not more, again as you point out.
I still maintain that an outside possibility should be kept open that the photographer in this case was having a little fun - he shoots Helle Wingsoe a few years after her earlier posing, but this time claims she is from Norway and that her name is Annette Casir? A bit older, she now poses in the nude. Possible, maybe not probable.
