Just looking at the vintage pics I saw some amateur pics that were done at studios.
Does anyone remember or had gone to the photo studios in Manhattan that were open in the late 60's. Tou could go in and rent a camera and "models" for $15 an hour. Lots of great memories there. If you were there drop a note, I still have a few pics from there

We had the same sorts of business in Seattle and a couple in Portland, from about 1965 to 1975 or so. At least one in Seattle had separate private areas for "extras" with consenting models...

Cap'n Kong hope you can post some of those if you still have 'em.I never heard of that thing going on in the70-80 period in Chicagoland ,but we had our share of strip clubs from South Bend ,Gary ,Hammond ,in In. to joints Il. over Chicago & Il. suburbs, like the sin bin city of Calumet City Il.,a real hot spot for strip & go-go clubs. I went to many,in my younger heyday. Most places did not let pics be taken, guess it was the conservativeness of the mid west?Got a few within a few miles of my house now but have'nt been to one maybe only once in the past 10 years.Too siliconzed now ,don't find the ladies as attractive, maybe it my age?
Had 2 places in the area, the Body shop in Cal city that brought in celebs like I saw Dixie bubbles & Teri Weigle there could've took pics with them for 40$ or so.The "industrial Strip in Hammond has had Mary Carey ,Jena Jameson there ,but never went to see those silconized sisters!

There were studios like this in KC, near the River Quey, as late at '78, with models, cameras, and stages for posing with props and costumes. There were a couple just across from one of the best of the real burlesque rooms (when they had real stages and strippers). At one time I built some props and stage pieces for some of the girls that worked the rooms there. The studios were gone by the end of the 70's. The blues rooms and bars kept the area open for awhile but entertainment shifted from place to place and was moving away from the river by '79. I haven't been back to KC in more than twenty years so I don't know what happened to the burlesque rooms. They probably have gone the way of most others, turned into "Gentlemen's Clubs" with girls that can take their clothes off but can't dance at the same time. But there I go complaining again.

tmfrmtn, do you remember the names of any of the girls who worked there? Over the years I've been able to identify a couple of "one spread" models who appeared in various magazines from the girls who worked in the "photo clubs" in Seattle. One that I haven't seen, but sure wish I could find, compared favorably with Rosina Revelle, only blonde.

A couple of the guys who were "regulars" went to work as photographers in the porn business and moved to Los Angeles.

I don't know why the clubs disappeared, unless it's because guys just lost interest. There wasn't any big moral uprising.

By the time I started to haunt 42nd street it was the late 70's, DVD was still in the future and VHS was king and priced very reasonably. At that point magazines were on their way out and there were huge sections of bargain priced mags, mostly Parliament and such, my collection grew by leaps and bounds...then I met my soon to be wife and they all went bye bye...damn!

I knew them during the late 60's early 70's. Had two great women who I eventually became involved with for those years. I think I still have some Polaroids of them. They worked in a Studio on 42nd ST on the second floor, one's name was Marianne and I forget the other's name ( too many years have passed), both had really big tits and were loads of fun and open to anything
