firstly this is not intended as a criticism of either this site (which is the best thing on the net) or of the individual contributors (who i respect and in some cases admire and think of as pals).
there seems to be an ever increasing ammount of eighties material on the site. for a lot of guys of my age have fond memories of the eighties , and when you think about it, twenty six years is a long time. is there room for eighties material here? how do we include some of the fine ladies who have become classics without being overwhelmed by the sillicone and pierced navels that proliferate elsewhere?
what do you think, gentlemen...

we don't but I did give everyone an place they could post their 80s pictures ---it is a sister board and has no such restrictions as to date of photos---it does however have the same resrtictions on copyrighted and pictures with a web address on them ---it works just like this site has a gallery sectiion to set up your own gallery ----the link to the site is -- http://www.bluestories.com/index.php?

but as regards this site, i guess that at least 50% of posts these days are post 1980

and we are going thru and deleting them slow but sure ---I do not pretend to be a expert on every model ---some times it is had to tell if a picture was taken in the 70s or 80s---some slip thru but as members alert us we remove them----we were kind of giving the members the benifit of the doubt as to knowing the rules of the forum and not posting 80s pictures---if they keep up then we will require a posted to put the date the picture was taken on his post or reject it. I do not want it to come to that so I urge members to read the rules before posting

I urge all members to use the alert button to inform us of pics that do not belong, for whatever reason. As I have stated before, the only way for this site to really work is for members to take a pro active stance in its running and together we can eliminate at least some of these problems.

I may be the odd duck in this dicussion, but once I identify a model, it isn't hard to draw a line between the 1970s and 1980s. I haven't given it much thought, but I think that the rapid popularization of video porn changed the industry in many important (and, to my mind, usually negative) ways and called into being a completely different set of standards.

I would like to have a discussion about the philosophy of what we are doing here, because I think it is more than simply imortalizing certain porn godesses. The naked human body had been the subject of art and the object of worship for millenia, and much of what we do here isn't "porn" in the usual sense. I do, of course, believe in porn; it, and not baseball, is certainly the American pastime.

But I've wondered from our topic.

A part of the "problem" is that beginning in the late 1960s or early 1970s at least one major porn producer "invented" what is now a common practice of building a stockpile of material for each model. One unexpected result of this is that we have the 1996 release of "new" Roberta Pedon pictures which obviously date to the 1970s. I know that Fling used this stockpiling shamelessly by writing about "coaxing" a model out of retirement and running a series of her that had been shot five or ten years before.

We try.

If I even have an inkling that a submitted pic is 80's or beyond, it will get killed. If the poster continues to dump "problem" pics, he will be banned.

yep everyone makes mistakes and will upload one or two---but if you continue to dump them ---after a warning PM the poster will be banned

In some cases models have careers that spanned both 70s & 80s like Julia Parton for ex. I think she may have started very young in the very late 70s.Some of her pics show her baby fat of her early career.Others I do agree are truely 80s+ gals that made it here.I personaly,do not post one who has'nt been posted before,by another member. But now I think we all get the message.
Wow at this rule we'd have to eliminate some "Members Catagagories" ,like Sam Fox ,Don't think she did anything before the mid 80s at least!

okay guys, i'm going to go through all of my posts and if there are any dubious ones i'll flag this up to a moderator. if we all did this the job would be as good as done. meanwhile what about the moderators setting a good example and deleting the whole sam fox section? there's no grey area there, neither is there with julia parton.

Peter your point is well taken---but I will tell you now we as Moderators are volunteers and do not take kindly to members telling us how to run the forum---this is a free site ---it cost you nothing ----we are removing things at our own pace in our own time as it is our spare time which we choose to donate here. So just chill out ---this is the internet not real life -----no one is going to get sick and die if one picture gets missed . Some models did start in the 70s and become more popular in the 80s---we will get it all sorted out in time.

:ol I hearby decree that all continue to gaze upon luscious beauties and enjoy this site for what it is...the LARGEST repository of free pics and movies on the web. So it is written, so it is done!

I collect Julia Parton Mags, and the earliest I have seen have been dated in 1982.

Here is a selection of early JP pics.

Peter and the others have made some very legitimate points both pro and com on the subject. With due respect to all, the sites inclusion of pics from the 80's and the way it is done is a plus. I believe that in searching for a certain model it is how I found the site. I would say that I am not unique in that respect. I, for one, am glad that it happened in that manner. This site is fantastic, as are the members. While it may seem that there is a proliferation of 80's pics, the variety and quantity of others is more than enough to please anyone. So pick your pleasure and enjoy. I know that I have and will.

I guess I should start putting in irony tags. I was familiar with JP's changing appearance and I knew what you meant; I just thought the use of the term was funny. It reminded me of an elderly aunt of mine and a cousin a few years younger then me who had an incredible body. When she was in her twenties, the aunt wondered aloud when my cousin was going to "lose her babyfat". She never did, thank Gawd!

So, how close a cousin was she, Charlie?
