Because we have grown so fast and because there is some confussion about what is acceptable to post here, it is time we had some rules to follow to let everyone know what we do and do not accept.

First of all We all pretty much know what Vintage is so I will not define it.

Second Retro as Defined by this board is anything before 1990--But anything in the 1980s must be in its own folder --in the 80s category by model name---no unknown models will be allowed ---no 80s in the bigtit category or retro sex category. If you upload them to these category's they will be deleted
Ok now the common sense rules

1. You must be 18 years old to be a member of this forum. You must have a year of birth in your profile or your membership will be moved to a special user group where you will only have access to the rules forum.

2. No pictures of Underage models are allowed either clothed or unclothed. This is defined by US standards in which this board is based, as no Pictures or Movies of anyone under 18 years old at the time of the Photo or movie. It does not matter that the Picture is now vintage.

3. No Pictures or Movie Clips will be accepted with a Copyright on them.

4. No Pictures or Movie Clips will be accepted with a Web Address on them--- this is because of our Sponsors. The Pay to keep this board Free for us to enjoy and chose not to advertise other sites.

5. Please do not Post Movie Clips taken past 1989--As I will delete all that I can--if you see some I miss please report it to me with a link to it and it will be removed.

6. We all come here for fun so please do not attack another member--you may not like his or her post, and a comment to that effect is fine ---But please do not attack them personally ---buy calling them an idiot --or --worse. You may not like their post but other may.

7. If one of your posts gets deleted---Please do not email me or the web master about it. If you need a reason please go to this link. If you email me or the web master about it we will refer you to this link anyway
http://myarchives.net/forums/showthread.php?t=183

8. If you have any problems or need help please PM me or email me at the address in my signature and posted on the board. If you email the web master he will send it to me anyway and you will not get the service as fast as contacting me directly.

9. I am responsible for the day to day operation of the board. The web master takes care of the server and software, So login problems or problems viewing or something you just do not like should be directed to me.

10. Last but not least---No Spam---If you have a site ---do not post it on this Board we are not here to advertise your site---now if you wish to become a sponsor of this site email me and I will arrange it and your sites link will be on the Board in a professional manner.

Have Fun ---Enjoy the Board----Contact me for problems---

Hello Rabbit1, please check member Gans gallery of pics. Some violations to the rules exist, however the membership seems to be enjoying serving up their own forms of corrections to the mistaken identities..me included :) If I can be of any help I have some extra time on the weekends. Thanks again for all your dedication to the site.

If members want to help ---if they see a Pic or Clip that does not comply with the rules and I know they are out there but there are 9000 of you and only one of me----when you see the offending post notice on the lower left hand side of the post a little symbol--http://myarchives.net/forums/images/aria/buttons/report.gif by clicking on that symbol it will email me a link to the post --all you have to do is fill in why it does not meet the rules ---No one else will see this email and I will take the action required on the post.

Thanks to all the members who have posted and those who have already helped me clean up the board.

Please, Please PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! All members MUST have a year of birth, not just month and day in their profile. As I run across them (and there are quite a few) I send out a PM, if not complied with they will be banned!

10-09-2005, 01:38 PM
Sorry Winger, but when you look in the section 'Edit Profile' it says that year of birth is optional. If I understand it correctly, then you do not have to fill in the year of birth...

winger
10-09-2005, 01:57 PM
...then that needs to be changed, otherwise we have no proof that someone is "of age". I'll speak to Rabbit.

Fully agree. But unfortunately it is not a 100% proof that someone is 'of age'. Still better than nothing...

Rabbit1
10-09-2005, 04:44 PM
We are now making it not optional----Things are getting tougher on Adult boards we must have a year of birth or your membership will have to be removed-----This is to help protect the owner of this board ----No it is not fool proof but it is nessary and very little to ask of the members of this free board ---the other method would be to make this a Pay site and require credit card verification. This is due to the ever changing US laws. So we ask each member for their cooperation in this matter to Keep the Board Free.

thanks

if you have an 80 s section,
why not a 70s section and call all
pre 70s pics vintage

Whilst I do not help run this site - I just appreciate all the hard work the Moderators put in - and it is their and the site owners decision as to the classifications.

However, my view on dates is that anything from the 80s onwards is "contemporary" - 50s to 70s is "retro" - 20s to 40s is "post vintage" and pre 20s is "vintage". But I guess it depends on ones age as to what is considered "old".

up until recently there were no 80s pictures allowed ---and yes it is according to ones age as what one sees as retro or vintage ---after a long discussion with members and the staff it was decided to let the 80s pictures in ----so it was just a basic add on that is why it is named such

Unfortunately some members don't read or don't bother to follow the rules, they are pretty simple. Of all the five Rules the underage one would be the simplest to follow. And it would be the most important rule i'd say.

As a relatively new member, albeit old by some in terms of age, I appreciate and respect the hardwork that everyone is doing to make this site. Viewing the galleries brings back many fond, not to mention lustful, memories from my teens on into adulthood. I, hope that I can be more than a "lurker" and be a valued contributor to this wonderful site. Once, again thanks for allowing me to join and keep up the great work.

Rainman, I thank you, and I note that you've only posted four images. I think that is excellent, because it means you're careful. Your standing in the community is not based on posting a thousand pictures, if that means they are duplicates, of low quality, or in the wrong places.

Yeah, Charlie, I am the one guy who reads the owner's manual or the instructions before he starts a project.

Hi dangermüz, all 80's models need to have a full name supplied with the pics - rules.

Post them into best of the rest folder for the time being.

If your site is going to encourage me to post in your 'Introductions' how about actually letting me do so? Every time I click on the green highlighted words: 'first', 'today', 'community', and so on I get shuttled to a stupid ad!

if you want to post in an existing thread click on "post reply"

if you want to start a new thread in a forum click on "new thread"

those highlighted words sre all going to do exactly as you said lead to an advert.don't bother clicking those

Every post is moderated to avoid spammers in any way.
This just means that your post will not be visible immediately but as soon as a moderator has approved it.
So, please go ahead and post away :)

As for the adds: Unfortunately it is not free to have a site like this running. The adds financially helps us keep this place online. So, they will most likely never disappear.

I recently joined and have a reasonable amount of material to contribute which I started to do this morning, however I would just like someone to clarify one point for me. Are movie posts allowed at all after 1989?
Many thanks in advance

I think you will find that the 'cut off' of the end of the 1980s applies to movies as well as pictures. However, a mod will no doubt clarify it for you.

The cut-off year is 1989.

It is a vintage board. There's plenty of boards around giving space for new stuff.

And besides it takes away the chance for being persued for violation of copyrights

Sorry to be thick,
But I'm eager to share and post.
Are there instructions on where to post? Should I go to gallery and upload where I think content goes? Or should I send pics to a moderator and let you sort them as to where they go?
I have a ton of varied stuff.
Whew.
Great site.
I wanna contribute.
I love art in trash.

Depends on what you have to post jg - the gallery link above goes to a condensed version of the gallery, i have the two main sections bookmarked.
Pre 1980's galleries section http://www.myarchives.net/gallery/browseimages.php?c=3&userid=
1980's gallery section http://www.myarchives.net/gallery/browseimages.php?c=156&userid=
Have a good look around, when you upload all pics are moderated
This is a BIG site
