no activation email sent

I registered and am recognized here, but I received no email to activate. I figure that this is becasue I unchecked box to receive emails from administrator. If you want to always be able to send members emails, then why have the box at all? Now I have problems accessing certain pages and can't post a msg to say that you've mis-identified many pics of a model named Bambi Sydwin here.

Otherwise email your username and i'll match it. Other users with that option are registered users - not sure why you did not get an email.
