Marilyn Lange; where is she now?

Okay folks, I'm starting this thread because I know there is some info about her. To my knowledge she only did her one Playboy pictorial, and a follow up the year after when she was selected as PMOY. After that info about her become apocryphal as far as I know.

I've read that she had a reduction (oh the humanity!) and did some car-show modeling, and that she is believed to be married and living in Las Vegas now.

Anyone know anything about these things, or anything else about her and what happened to her after PB?

Marilyn Lange has been an enigma since fulfiling her contractural obligations with Playboy. The extremely well endowed, reportedly 39DDD, Marilyn did not seem to try to capitalize on her former Playmate Centerfold or PMOY status. Being a former Playmate does offer a number of opportunities and with being PMOY even more so. I haven't seen anything about her in Playboy releases or Glamourcon publicity or photos.

I, as you, am interested in finding out a little more about her and what she has become of her over the last 30 years.

Maybe, she just drove her Porsche off into the sunset.:smile:

Well, it's our loss that she never did more with modeling as a career. To my mind she was the single most beautiful woman ever to grace the pages of Playboy, and is the best example of what made it such a great mag back in it's heyday... Now unfortunately it's crap, and has been for a long while.

The info I mention above I got at a Yahoo groups website. Don't remember what it is, but a search through their groups for Marilyn Lange will probably turn it up. I'll spare some time to do some digging, and see what I can come up with.

Partially due to my age, a lost of my Playboy magazine collection from the 60s through the 90s, and some other factors I cannot comment on the magazine today. I grew up with Playboy and it was my preferred magazine, not just for the pictures, but for all the other things that made it unique.I do not buy it except for a occaisonal anniversary issue.

My preference has always been for the Playmates from that era and would respectfully suggest that Marilyn might not be my #1 she would rank highly in my top 25.

There is a possibility that Marilyn has actually been located after all of these years. This comes courtesy of a YaHell group, i'm not affiliated with. I'll let you guys be the judge of this whether or not you find the attached evidence believeable or not.

Marilyn ranks in my top three when it comes to playmates. The other two being Janet Lupo and Karen Price.

My first issue of Playboy i bought right after my 18th birthday in 1978 was a special issue. From that issue, i started my infatuation with Marilyn and Janet and my admiration of them have never wavered ever since! What beauties!:smile:

After i get beyond Janet, Karen, & Marilyn, my top three list becomes a top 40 list (lol).
Patti and Melinda are true busty hotties too and they definitely make my list as well.
Have you or anyone else ever checked out Rosemarie Hillcrest, who suppose hold PB's biggest bust record? I may have to dispute that. Janet's cup size has to be bigger.
She told me once her cup size was "H"! Youza!!!!!!!

I've heard tales of the mythic Ms. Hillcrest, but have never actually found any pictures of her. I'll have to check the gallery more thoroughly, I may have simply not found them, but I've also been up to my eyeballs in work lately.

I definitely agree with you about Janet though, to my knowledge she's the largest natural woman to ever have been a centerfold. There was some blonde who was implanted who may have been bigger, but I don't remember her name, and seeing as how she's plastic, I have no desire to even try.

As for the pics you posted above, there is certainly a strong resemblance to the old pics of Marilyn, and it certainly doesn't seem that they're not her, so it seems there's better than a slim chance they are indeed of Marilyn. Truly an amazing find.

Marilyn Lange Bio

Marilyn Lange (born January 12, 1952 in Westfield, New Jersey) is a prodigiously endowed model chosen by Playboy magazine as the Playmate of The Month for May 1974, and later, the 1975 Playmate of the Year. Her original pictorial was photographed by Dwight Hooker. She is a graduate of the class of 1970 of Westfield High School. Just one month after her high school graduation, she married a classmate from that same high school, Jeff Pelosi, who also was the drummer in the 1960s rock band The Critters, who had hit records that included "Younger Girl".

The information comes from Marilyn's wedding announcement in the April 9, 1970 issue of the Westfield (N.J.) Leader newspaper:

"Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Lange, of 721 Dorian Rd, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marilyn Jane, to Jeffrey Alan Pelosi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome J. Pelosi, of Maplewood. Miss Lange is a senior at Westfield High School. She will attend the Berkeley School, East Orange, in the fall. Mr. Pelosi is a former member of the recording group, The Critters. He is now pursuing a songwriting career. The wedding is scheduled for July 18 at Saint Paul's Church."

Lange and Pelosi were apparently divorced just a few years later, as the text of her original appearance in Playboy has her "married at 18 to a member of a popular east coast rock band .... the marriage didn't last and she has no plans to try matrimony again". It also makes reference to a boyfriend named "Kip".

Marilyn Lange: Soccer
At that time, she lived in Hawaii and played soccer. As a publicity stunt, the Chicago Sting of the men's North American Soccer League selected her in the final round of the 1976 draft.

Jim Walker, general manager of the Chicago Sting said, "We liked what we saw". Lange was picked for the Sting's sixth draft choice. In the end she only did some promotional work for the team, and the North American Soccer League. Marilyn was quoted as having said,: "I wish I were a guy so I could really play".

She never played in a game for the Sting.

Not much else is known about her. She disappeared from public view not long after completing her contractual obligations to Playboy. She has understandably developed a cult following.

Often when I think of Marilyn Lange, I think of a similar Penthouse Pet who'd posed the previous year, Avril Lund (April 1973, later Pet of the Year). Both women are the same height, 5'7", both have the same length and color hair, both have similar builds.

I hate to sound disloyal, but I think Avril was prettier. Marilyn, though, had a more "Girl Next Door" look, and had a better overall tan.

Charliels531, Cynthia Meyers had been an active member of the Playmate Alumnae, and attended almost every Glamourcon in Los Angeles I'd been to.

Playboy's cyber site has biographical info on her. From the bio:
"Few Playmates have enjoyed the popularity of Miss December 1968. Servicemen by the thousands carried her centerfold with them to battlefields in Vietnam. She's still a queen to many fans, who have named her the official Playmate of the Playboy Mailing List newsgroup on the World Wide Web.

"'I always felt I wanted to stir up a little dust in my life,' Cynthia says of her adolescence in Toledo, Ohio. And she did. When her high school principal heard about her Playboy appearance, he told her if it had been up to him, she wouldn't have received her diploma.
