Is there anything that you do not have a source or collection in this area? I was going to scan some of my Vargas drawings for the site, but I believe that you have them covered. My first encounter with his work was in one of my older brothers Playboys from the early 60's. I believe that his work was a regular feature in Playboy in the 60-70's, and possibly may still appear there. Anyway thanks for the excellent collection.

My dad once said it had been a good thing that Latin America had been our allies in WWII (Brazil and Mexico both sent troops overseas to fight under US command and the South Atlantic was a US-Brazilian joint command run out of Rio), because the US Navy would have never made it through without cofee and Alberto Vargas!

We really DON'T want to discourage you, but Kevin's got a very good point - only a small minority of our visitors ever check out the fora (great as they are), so as much as possible should be posted on the galleries. It takes the same amount of time and you get a bigger audience, so what's not to like?
Also, my understanding is that is considered good form to check a gallery to make sure you aren't posting any duplicates. Yes, storage space for one image is cheap, but when you start thinking of the cost of hundreds, then thousands (we have over 115K images and between 500 to 750 are being added each week) of duplicate items, it becomes a problem. Somebody has to pay for the storage space (my understanding is that it comes through the ads), so to keep this a free site and pay for more >new< images, we need to be economical.
Thus endeth the lesson, brothern and sistern. have fun and a BIG thank you for posting!

If you insist on using alternative english. Please use it appropriately.
There's no such words as "brothern and sistern"
It would be brethren and sisters. Actually, "brethern" would cover sisters as well in this context.

Druuna - a bit of friendly advice:smile:.
When you post pictures, either through the forums, or in the galleries check for duplicates in your own posts. There are 5 duplicates in the above 3 posts. Also check that the pictures are by who you say they are. I am sure some of the above are not Alberto's, indeed one is signed by 'Baron' (Baron von Lind).
