What tool do you use for it?
I trid to edit a *.vob a year or so ago. But the result was a shrinked image. I couldn't keep the original aspect ratio.
It would be EXTREMELY handy if I had a tool for editing *.vob files (I have some SunsetGlamour DVD's I'd like to share.....)

AVS Video EDitor will help you with edits. Use HJSplit to spilt and join large files. BTW much better resolution maintained with .vob format. Don't be tempted to downgrade to lo-res format WM/AVI etc.

This tool might be the one I have been looking for.

The point is as you say NOT to loose any quality by converting but keep the entire *.vob intact as it is.
With the bandwidth we have today there is no need for conversion to save transfer time.

I found it on 'the Mule'. Now I just have to wait for it to complete and see how it works.
