Back in April 2006 somebody asked for pictures of Liv Lindeland a Playmate in the early 70's. At the time I tried 4 or five times to upload a set, but the site was then going thro' a bad patch as regards speed and each attempt timed out.

As there has been a vast improvement in the site response speeds, thanks to Tiger and his Moderators hard work, I tried again today. Success :smile: :smile: (Playboy Playmates section) and I hope whoever it was that asked for them is still visiting, the rest I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for your hard work. Liv Lindeland was the first Playmate to show pubic hair, wasn't she? Some of the pics you posted weren't in any of her layouts, I think, and she looks really great with a minimum of makeup.

cljh thanks for your comments. Strictly speaking Paula Kelly (August 1969) was the first to show pubic hair in a pictorial feature, and Gloria Root (December 1969) in a centre fold, but it was hardly visible. Liv was the first full frontal nudity in a pictorial.

She well deserves to be one of the most popular playmates of all time - incidentally her mother in law is Cyd Charisse another lady with legs 'that go all the way up'.

Anita Ekberg's photos were a 'celebrity' set in November 1961, not a Playmate or 'pictorial' feature which is what I was referring to.

I haven't been able to find a copy of the issue, or the pictures, in question so can't comment, although her later Playboy visit, in I believe 1989, did show glimpses of pubes. I will keep hunting. :biggrin: That's the fun of these sort of discussions.

Anita Ekberg have been featured severel times in the Italian Playboy and here she shows more than a little bush :-) I'm at my weekend cottage for the moment using a laptop, but I'll try to post these images sometimes during next week when I'm back at my trusty pc.

Actually not correct. When the Ekberg photos were originally run, they were cropped so as not to show bush. Playboy made a point of mentioning this when they re ran the photos in their original form sometime in the 80's.

If I can find the issue, i'll reference it. Seems it was one of the anniversary additions.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread I believe it was one of the 1989 issues if that is of any help - unless you are referring to the earlier cropped ones, in which case those were in November 1961.

Those were the good old days of natural women. Some of the best stuff playboy has printed. I will take a look at the playboy section. Thanks for the hard work.
