Mary Waters...

I'm a big Mary Waters fan. (260 lbs and I can bench press a Cadillac)

But anywho, I realized that my collect of Mary's pictures is some 1,108 pictures while the set here only has 300 and change. (Sam, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship) Thought the 300 or so includes pictures I've never seen before, which is always a thrill.

So sometime this week I'll sort through your guy's pictures again and upload some of what you don't have. (I'm doing a big landscaping project at my parents house though, fatigue may influence the timelyness of this project.)

If someone has a preference as to which set first, give a reply. I have her divided by photo set (Named by me, but if you are a fan you'll recognize them by name) I won't be back here again 'til at least Thursday, so let me know.

She is one of the first models to have her own folders, way back when, so she is a Myarchives favorite.

Welcome, brother!!

One reason for the disparity in numbers is that we try pretty hard to keep all the archives down to the "best" copy of any particular photo, although there are some occasions when we display more than one (One color, one b/w, for example).

Please upload whatever you have and let us snooty mods sort 'em out. My strong bias is to keep everything that meets the rules.

I'm guessing you are probably familiar with the two Mary Waters Yahoo groups run by (blush) yours truly; as mentioned in a couple of the text files about Mary, the one photographer who worked with Mary kept a huge collection (8k to 10k) of unpublished photos of her. During the past few months I've seen several on eBay and in newsgroups that seem to be part of a couple of previously unpublished series. That makes me think it is possible that Lance Kincaid has started selling off the shots from his "filing cabinet" or whatever he kept them in. Do you have any ideas? :confused:

Okay folks, thanks for your patience. I caught a nasty cold on Wednesday and still had to work on my folks yards, without giving them the cold as well.

I picked out a couple of the more luscious "Pink Shawl" pics and I'll post them so as not to look like a seagull poster, but then I think I'm going to hibernate 'til Monday. Even turned down a camping trip to Lake Barryessa this afternoon.

Oh, and Charlie, are you say upload everthing I have and let you guys sort them out? Some I did get from your places, thought that might get tedious. Anyway, going to do a rapid visual scan for repeats and if my picture is better I send it along.

Okay I uploaded some pics we didn't have here. "Pink Shawl" shoot. While looking I saw you are under represented in the "Corduroy Chair" sets, (Nightie and Cutoffs) so that will be my next project either later tonight or tomorrow.

A side benefit of all this looking is I picked up some four Mary pictures from the middle of the stack I missed the first time through. Funny how your eye can spot a Mary picture you haven't seen before.

Another thing that caused me to change plans in the middle is realizing that even at larger size or higher rez, a repeat is still something you've seen before. So while one or two repeats did get in this load I pulled some in favor of shots you didn't have, even if it was lower quality.

BD Hi BigDon, if you were to upload say six and wanted to change their descriptions or folder destinations this can be done easily enough when you upload.You can also remove any images from the list by unchecking the box next to that image.

Maybe something more basic: Uploading one at a time can get tedious. Across the top of the screen there should be a clickable lable that says "upload". When that screen comes on, you can upload ten at a time. After they upload you get a screen that allows for changes in description, destination file, and what-not. Then you click the "process" button at the bottom.

We mods can thin out duplicates, although we are grateful if there aren't any duplicates.

I noticed you have quite a few in the tow-truck office. Are those the shots that start with her wearing the shirt with the name "Bill" on it? I've only seen a couple of those.

Sorry for the delays guys. I don't no if its age or just a really bad strain of the cold, but I'm preatty wiped out. Started blacking out during the coughing fits and had to see the doctors.

Seems I had blood pressure issues I didn't know about and the cold medicine had me clocked up so high the *nurse* almost fainted. 320/280 Seems I was a stroke waiting to happen. This is still trying to be resolved but I have a free evening today and I'll do some uploads. My focus is off a bit but I'll persevere.
The other whammie was finding out my oldest is enlisting in the Marines come August. That my oldest daughter. So I've had a lot on my mind.

Charlie - Yup that's the one. I move furniture for a living and I know a trucking office when I see one, having been in dozens of them. That one has a few repeats, but I have some nice shots in that one.

Alright Gentlemen, I put up tonight's uploads. The "Red Flannel Sheets" set was only two pics because we have most of them here already even though I have a bunch of higher res versions. I'll put those up when I run out of new stuff. You will like the "Red Nightie, Brass Headboard" set I uploaded I believe.

Next time, a faily big one of the "Fishing Trip" set or plaid shirt depending if the shots were on the pier or in the cabin. Which will include, are you ready? Another shot of the huge dildo I've never seen before, taken from above, that doesn't seem to be in our collection. (If I uploaded all I had at once, it would spoil the fun.)

Well I put up my Fishing Trip collection today. Some repeats due to me being unable to chose which pic to put up when they both looked cute.

Kevin - I can't quite locate where it says where my post count. Also I forgot to label the first ten, (and maybe the third set of ten as well), Fishing Trip. Can you help out? It will bug me otherwise.

And sorry for the delay in getting this up. Some real life issues came up. BUT I was able to resove them in my favor, thank goodness.

Okay, next up probably a combo of "In Front of Fireplace" and "Waterbed" sets. I'll filter through the pics here and what I have. So it will be fairly short.

PS One last thing. This thread is a little "chatty" unlike most that seem to be here. Is that like frowned upon? If so I'll back off from doing the play by play.

It pains me to contradict kevin, but the post counts have been bouncing all over. It started about six months ago when zishumaru suddenly got a post count which was about the number of atoms in the universe; then they started going down; now they're going up again, but about one up for every ten posts. It's weird.

charlie is correct on this point.I noticed a long while back that the number given for posts that members (including my own) had supposedly put up suddenly dropped right down..far lower than they really are!...strange indeed.

Norm has a theory why, something akin to the theory of relativity :smile: Yes the post count has been all over the shop, i think that BigDon's count is fairly accurate.

it happened at the end of May when maintenance was run on the post count. everyone's count was affected - a lot were reset to zero. the count of images posted was not affected.

This has to be my last post for a while. I had stopped posting for a really good reason intially. A girlfriend! Yippie shit the long drought is over! My best friend's older sister, who bears just an uncanny resemblence to Trudy Scott (A model here) She was widowed a little over a year ago, I waited like a decent man should and shazam! Never had a girl who was taller than me before. (my exwife was a dwarf. Well under 5'. but she dumped me. Too many really wealthy men like pretty tiny women)

So the really bad news is my computer got honked hard by another virus. Off a russian site. fortunately after the last time I learned to keep my downloads on another drive from the os. Its just that all my porn is a prisoner until I can buy a copy of windows xp. I'm on my brother's machine only to tell you guys this. i can't criuse porn on it as he has a goverment job and telecommutes on it. (We have a lan set up here for wargames.) He would be angry if he knew I was here.

So until I can rebuild my machine, its goodbye for a while.
