This RED Xs issue is starting get me really tired by now I can tell...soon its almost a month since I was able to upload any pics...I have tried everthing...changed setting in my firewall,spyware etc etc...and it´s still the f...cking same...maybe its some kinda shit whit my account..so I have to register again as Orvar1 or something like that....I have written a lot about my trouble whit the posting in this thread...but no one has replied a single bit apart from Rabbit1 and Kevin also in a PM to me thumbs up to them anyway for their replies... but no one else has given a single shit about givin some kinda feedback about whita possible solutions worth trying... sucks a bit really bros....Thanks for all the pics I´ll guess or?

It is strange if this is happening to you only Orv. Do you log in and out? Is there a problem with your ISP? -- I'd be pissed too, so i don't blame you for getting angry and as you say, no one else has said that they have this problem which seems to have started with the server change.I don't know if a new account would make any difference? I'm sorry that I didn't respond; I haven't had the problem, so I have no ideas. I have seen the red "x"es Orvar speaks of, but only when a photo was being moved or deleted. I take the crashibng silence to mean that Orvar truly is the only one of us having problems.

as with everyone orvar i'm sorry about your problem - it does seem strange that it appears to be only you who is having the problem. a few questions and suggestions.

first - what type of modem and what speed do you have?

don't get rid of your old account. log out then log in and sign up as a new member and try posting a pic again. if your pic posts ok then it is a problem with your account.

if you still have a problem hit the print screen button at the point you get the red x and then process the pic saved on window's clipboard and save it as a jpg file. then post a note here in the forums and attach the jpg as Rabbit got you to do a week or two ago. this will help us because we don't know at exactly what point you get the x's.

try uploading one of your pics to one of the picture hosting sites that are available and see if that works. if that fails it would suggest a problem with your isp.

This is such a mystery the redXs issue as it seems that I´m the only one having this trouble...Well anyway I have tried using a different Browser (Mozilla) I have also been in contact whit the company who´ll is my Internettraffic supplier....I use a very fast Broadband connection not a modem....The thing im gonna try now is to post a pic from another computer to see if that works...just to be shure there isn´t some little fuck up whit my own computer....I have tried almost everything that you´ll have suggested guy´s....Puuuuhhhh....hope I will be back posting pics soon.
The last thing also to try im affraid is to register a new account If there should be some nasty little fuck up whit my account.

I checked your account and the setting are the same as other member settings ---Red Xs usually has to do with a security setting or a privacy setting on your computer -----Norton internet security is famous for this when it updates sometimes it changes settings -----I know I use it and it has messed me up a few times until I realized what it had done buy turning off my fire wall and connecting to the site ----everything worked good then ---so I knew it was a firewall setting that had changed ----

i have found that it's all about the operating system you're using. 99.9% of virus and such can only open and operate on the new version of windows. i use windows 98. that system is too old to support the modern viruses, cause not that many people use it. so trouble makers don't bother. it's just a suggestion, and also how i cleared up tons of problems. also netscape 7.0 is the last browser that netscape made before they were bought out by aol. it's the only version you can control. all the modern browsers are controled by aol and msn. and they watch you like a hawk.

My problem is still going on...today I have tried a couple of times to upload pics....guess what?...he he he...still these wonderful REDxs and no pic.
I have tried to change my NORTON settings ok...the only thing I hasn´t tried is to turn of my Firewall completley...I dont wanna take that risk..never and get my box full of nasty viruses and everything.
One strange thing is that I can use Bit torrent programs for file sharing and it works perfect and I can send pics attached in e mails also.
Last week I tried one of the last desperate things to do...I registred a new account at a differnet e mail address and...this is odd..,I still havent got any confirmation to that email address that the account is up and running....a bit odd isnt it?
Well I´ve got a PM from jakespeed2 who told me that he also having problems
posting pics...so that I should be the only member having problem?...Well that is not the case as it seems.

Turning off your fire wall for a few minutes will not expose you to viruses ---I have done it to check to see if the fire wall was a problem ---only takes a few minutes ---you log on quickly and see if you can do the things you used to do --then turn the firewall back on as soon as the check is over ----but in any event I you can alway upload them into the forums -----

Guess what Rabbit1...I have registred a new account my new username is Orvar66...and now I am able to uploading pics again instead of Red big Xs...feels great...but instead I cant write any comments...he he he how odd...so I´ll guess when im about to post pics I´ll log in as Orvar66 and when I wanna write a comment or comment/start a thread I´ll have to use my old account and log in as Orvar....can be a temporary thing whit my new account also...Who said life is easy?,,,not me anyway.
